Kirk root (1961-2014)
Kirk was an innate gemologist with a passion and dedication for the jewelry industry. He achieved more before he was 30 years old than most do their entire careers as a jeweler. At 23 Kirk became the youngest accredited Master Gemologist Appraiser in history and had created a signature line of Texas-themed jewelry that is still in demand today. He loved sharing his joy of gems and jewelry, his high ethical standards, and appreciation for the moments that one celebrates with jewelry. Today, his legacy can be seen through the values and ideals of his sons.
Chris is a founding member of Kirk Root Designs, and a classically trained bench jeweler. Chris studied the art of goldsmithing at the esteemed Revere Academy in San Francisco, California. Chris loves bringing our bluebonnet jewelry to life, and being able to help guide clients with making the best decision on the materials used in their projects.
